Lisa Caywood wrote up a good explanation of how new methods of endpoint security are important because of the lack of effort or near impossibility of implementing best practices everywhere, all the time, and perfectly. I think we definitely like the show, but I really like Lisa’s rebuttal. Check it out http://skyportblog.com/2016/01/29/addressing-infosec-theater/

Lot of vendors coming up with the next greatest security layer that you absolutely need if you don’t want to get hacked, but still so much of best practices lacking in reality. Curious to understand what portion of companies are acknowledging that its implementation of best practices thats required as a baseline for security. I seem to agree with the assessment – Whats the business case ?
